How to insert square symbol in Word, Excel and PowerPoint using Alt Codes?

Make sure the numeric keypad is activated on the keyboard. Place your cursor where you need to insert a degree symbol and then press and hold the Alt key and type 254 in the numeric keypad and release the Alt key.
